WHAT CAUSES MALE HAIR LOSS
Male pattern baldness is a progressive condition and is caused by the hair follicles’ sensitivity to the male hormone known as dihydrotestosterone, an active form of testosterone. It is not wholly understood, but genetic, environmental and hormonal factors can combine to cause hair loss in some men.
Typically, it presents as a recession of the frontal hairline and at the temples. This often combines with a thinning of the hair on the crown. The degree of hair loss can vary enormously, but usually the earlier you start to suffer from thinning, the more significant the hair loss.
